Planning a date night is a great way to keep a marriage healthy and have fun. Most people like to go out to a restaurant on date night, but you can also have a fun night cooking together in the kitchen.
I think cooking together with someone you love is one of the most romantic things you can do. For example, it would be so much fun and romantic for a couple to make a simple meal together like a homemade Mexican or Chinese dish.
For a Mexican dish, Mexican rice and soft shell tacos filled with avocado, tomatoes and shrimp would be perfect. To increase the flavor level, heat the shrimp in a pan with olive oil and curry powder and add hot chili flakes to the avocado. You can buy pre-made Mexican rice or you can make your own using yellow rice and diced red peppers and green onions.
For dessert, serve some honey and pineapple yogurt inside a cinnamon flavored taco shell. You can make this dessert by taking some Greek yogurt and adding in chunks of pineapple and a tablespoon of pure honey. For the taco shells, make simple syrup using pure honey and water and adding in a teaspoon of cinnamon. Drizzle the syrup over the taco shell and bake them in the oven for two minutes. For a beverage, serve frozen strawberry limeade. To make this drink, take a bottle of lime juice and pour it into a blender. Next add in pieces of chopped strawberries, a fourth cup of Seltzer water, and two tablespoons of pure honey. Blend everything together for three minutes, and then pour the mixture into an ice tray.
When it’s time serve to dinner, take the frozen strawberry limeade out of the ice tray and put them into some glasses. It won’t take long for the cubes to melt and you will have a rich smooth frozen drink.
Another good date night recipe is baked honey curry chicken legs and a kale green citrus salad. After rinsing the chicken and drying the chicken legs, drizzle on a little olive oil, a little salt, and some curry powder. Let the chicken legs bake for 30 minutes or until they are crispy. After you take the chicken legs out of the oven, drizzle on some honey and let them marinate for 20 twenty minutes.
To make the salad, you will need a bowl of kale greens, fresh orange slices, sliced almonds, and a lemon. Add the orange slices and almonds to the bowl of kale greens, and then top it with freshly squeezed lemon juice.
For dessert, make a pan of dark chocolate cupcakes topped with a strawberry. For a beverage, serve a glass of red wine filled with fresh cherries.
